Product Description
The other day in the middle of the night, I lost power to my home. Normally this would not be a problem as it was 2am and the kids were asleep. However, the silence must have awoken my younger caveboy. His stirring had me spring into action with my Faraday flashlight.
Now some of you have read my review of the Faraday flashlight. I am a big fan of the Faraday flashlight but it has one major disadvantage. My kids keep taking it and I can’t find it when I need it most. And this was the case during the power failure. It was no where to be found and I resolved myself to find another option.

That is where the Tap Light comes in. From the folks at http://www.asontv.com
Taplight is ideal for children and for getting around easily in the middle of the night.
What It Costs $11.99 + shipping and handling for 4 Tap Lights. I purchased mine at the local convienence store.
Ease of use 5 Stars
The premise is simple enough, the Tap Light works as an emergency light that you press to turn on.

Actual performance 3 1/2 Stars
I have attached one of these in each of my children’s rooms as well as one in the hallway and one in the upstairs bathroom. When needed I turn on the light by pressing the top of the light. It works off of batteries and does not generate much heat so it is safe to touch.
Final thoughts on practicality
Not the brightest lighting option you can have but in a pinch such as a power failure, they are quite helpful. Each light also requires 4 AA batteries (not included of course).
Now if I can just keep my kids from turning them on when not needed....
Final Score
4 out of 5 stars
